& Newport News Park Archery Range!
From Richmond:
Drive EAST on I-64 until you get to Fort Eustis Boulevard exit (Exit @ 250B). Exit 250B is the second off ramp. Caution: there is a stop sign at the end of the ramp.
Get immediately into the left hand lane. In less than 1/10th mile, you’ll get to traffic light (this is the intersection of Ft. Eustis Boulevard and Jefferson Avenue). Take a left onto Jefferson Avenue and keep going straight on for approx. another 1 – 1½ miles. Look to your right for a large (3’x4’) yellow and black "Tidewater Bowhunter & Archers" sign.
Turn right at the sign. Follow the Newport News park dirt road approx. 1/10 of a mile. Please park your care to the edge of the road. Reason: Fire and other emergency vehicles need to pass this way also.
Drive WEST on I-64 until you get to Fort Eustis Boulevard, Exit #250B. At the end of the exit off ramp there will be stop light. Once at the light, you must either take a right or left, take a left. You are now on Jefferson Avenue.
You'll quickly come upon and you must go straight thru the intersection of Ft. Eustis and Jefferson Avenue. Then, keep going for approx. another 1 – 1/2 mile. Look to your right for a large (3’x4’) yellow and black sign that states, "Tidewater Bowhunter & Archers".
Turn right at the sign. Follow the Newport News Park dirt road approx. 1/10 of a mile and park your car to the edge of the road. Reason: Fire and other emergency vehicles need to pass this way also.
Drive Route 17 South (George Washington Highway) and cross the Coleman Bridge. There is no toll as you go south, but on the way back North there is a $2.00 car toll.

Stay in the right lane, because as soon as you get off the bridge YOU WILL take a right.)
Take a RIGHT after crossing the bridge. Go to the end of the road / waters edge, and make a left. You are now on Waters Street. Waters Street will soon turn into “Old Williamsburg Road” which then changes into “Yorktown Road”.
Continue on Yorktown Road for approx. 2 miles (Note: If you’re sight seeing…you’ll notice Yorktown Naval Weapons Station on your right side), or until you get to large another traffic light/intersection (this large intersection will be Jefferson Avenue and Yorktown Road). A landmark of this intersection is the well-known “7-11 store”.
Take a LEFT. (You’re now on Jefferson Avenue). Continue on for approx. 1 mile and look to your left for a large (3’x4’) yellow and black "Tidewater Bowhunter & Archers" sign.
Turn left at the sign. Follow the Newport News park dirt road approx. 1/10 of a mile. Please park your care to the edge of the road. Reason: Fire and other emergency vehicles need to pass this way also.
